Event Title: Circular Economy, Decarbonisation and Circular Bioeconomy
International Conference Week, 16–20 November 2026
The 17th International Circular Economy Week (ICEW) will take place at the Environmental Campus Birkenfeld from 16 to 20 November 2026. The international event week provides a platform for exchanging innovative approaches, sustainable solutions and forward-looking developments in the field of the circular economy.
The event will focus on the overarching theme “Circular Economy, Decarbonisation and Circular Bioeconomy” and explore how regional potential can be harnessed to promote climate action and sustainable transformation. International expert presentations, panel discussions and opportunities to exchange ideas with experts from around the world will provide a valuable platform for discussing current challenges and gaining new insights.
The programme will also include guided tours of the Zero Emission Campus and technical facilities, as well as numerous opportunities for networking and establishing strategic partnerships.
A particular highlight of the event week will be the International Circular Economy Conference on 19 November 2026, which will include an evening gala. The conference will bring together international stakeholders from academia, industry and society.
The ICEW offers companies from Rhineland-Palatinate in particular an excellent opportunity to showcase their innovative strength to an international audience, establish new collaborations and explore international markets.
The event week is organised in cooperation with, and with the kind support of, the Ministry of Agriculture, Viticulture, Environment and Forestry of the State of Rhineland-Palatinate.
