Final brochure on the Land(auf)Schwung model project

In the Land(auf)Schwung model project, a total of 13 selected structurally weak regions were supported by the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL) between 2015 and 2020 in the implementation of targeted measures to overcome region-specific challenges to services of general interest. The now published final brochure “Modellvorhaben Land(auf)Schwung – Erfolge, Herausforderungen, Praxistipps” presents example projects from the regions as well as the most important findings from the project.

With the focus on “activating regional resources and entrepreneurial people”, the Neunkirchen region broke new ground in the further development and safeguarding of services of general interest. In conjunction with this, the project Upcycling-Zentrum Neunkirchen, which was accompanied by IfaS, is presented as a beacon in the final brochure (pages 26/27). In the Upcycling Centre in Neunkirchen, new design products are made from supposed residual materials and waste, in cooperation with AQA gGmbH, among others, by the long-term unemployed and people with disabilities.
